My cat woke me at 4 this morning – as she has had occasion to from time to time – but today I finally worked out why, and it’s a hell of a thing!
She was standing at the door to our boys’ bedroom and meowing quite incessantly for some time. I went into their room to find our son had wet the bed (still in the toilet-training phase). He does this maybe once every 2 weeks, and when I thought back to the last time the cat woke me up, sure enough, I have the vaguest recollection that the same thing happened.
My fucking cat is waking me up to tell me my son has wet the bed!
After I cleaned him up, dressed him and changed the sheets, the cat was back to sleeping on the top of the couch.
