Wedding Trees

Has anyone any experience of, or know any good wedding trees - the things guests make thumb prints on, adding leaves to the tree?

I'm making one but finding it hard to find anything that isn't the same as the next.

Post your wedding band/ring

Design in respect to wedding bands and engagement rings came up last night while in bed last night. It got me curious about what's out there. I'm not in proposal mode just yet, but I thought it would be cool to see what good jewelry designers are up to these days. God forbid I have to buy a ring at one of the many Zales of the world.

Post your ring if you have one or recommend a jewelry designer.

Wedding...

I have been asked to DJ at my friends wedding in Monterosso, in September.

I was thinking about playing some easy listening mixtapes (I won't be manning the decks during the day) for when people are milling around outside.

He wants, and this is what I need more help with, me to play from 11pm 'til the early hours when most of the oldies go home. He stresses that it's not a traditional wedding but wants me to play the "classics".

What are the "classics"? What songs will actually fit into a disco/house/nu-disco set that are romantic and cheesy? What will get people dancing and singing along too and are there any good remixes of this out there?

The only thing I can think of is this:

Your advice is most welcome. Last thread of the day. I promise.

Wedding website

I need to create a simple website for my wedding.
Giving guests information on location, accommodation, transport.......
All the pre-templated wedding website are rubbish.

Can anyone recommend any customizable or template websites, where you can add and update information, pictures etc as you go?

I'm not at all knowledgeable with web-design, so I just need something quite simple, yet well designed.

thanks

Wedding photography

The wedding invites thread reminded me...

I'm going to a pretty informal wedding this weekend and I've said I'll take some photos. They don't want super posed style photos, just a nicely shot record of the day.

I'm taking my dslr but I've not shot 'events' type stuff before. I'm not a professional photographer but experienced as most designers are.

Any tips from those that have done weddings before? Also any tips for getting good results on a dull/rainy day since that's what the forecast is predicting

thanks
