Inappropriate free/spec work Feb 1, 12, 1:01 p.m.

I've been working with a client, who is rather high profile, and has not paid for design identity work.

They wanted to have a new site design to coincide with the identity, and they wouldn't pay any deposit. Today I saw that they just hacked together a new shitty logo.

What do you guys do in these cases? I feel like there should be some place to report them to or something...what a waste of time...

Lovely site and I like how the images on the homepage scale as the window is made thinner/wider or taller/shorter. Any ideas on how this is done? I've seen the examples with a full screen background image but cannot find any like the APFEL site.

Where do you guys get high-res images for skinning websites and iPad apps? I went to Apple's press photo pages and their EULA looks like it would prohibit use on, say, a portfolio website.

I looked at LiveSurface and their computer screens are outdated. No iPad images.

I need something I can use without restriction on my new website.

Email signature with images Nov 24, 11, 5:50 a.m.

So the company wants the following:

- HTML email signature
- including a few remote images (so they won't turn up as attachments)
- 50% of my colleagues work with Outlook (mac/win), 50% work with Mail for mac

We've been trying and testing a lot, and receiving an email with said signature is no problem. However, when replying to it or forwarding it, the images don't get linked correctly, and are in stead replaced with a short code.

Is there any way (or THE way) to do this right?
