I have been asked to create a desktop icon shortcut for a certain website, can I do this? If so does anyone know how, sizes etc?

Every time i change colours in photoshop using the eyedropper tool it changes the background colour instead of the foreground one. Its probably a really simple thing im missing but its propper annoying!

Im just starting out on a new website design which has a set space for a menu to go down the left hand side. The menu needs to be 6 levels deep however, has anyone seen any clever ways of doing a big menu like this without using flash and it dominating the site?
