How come none of these great typefaces are for sale?
- in many cases they post graphic versions, that are made in illustrator, so you can't really use them till they go on type format– Meeklo1/3
  format, that you can use w your keyboard... at least that is what it seems– Meeklo2/3
  I'm not sure that's a great typeface, but I like the site.– Witt3/3

From the screenshot i thought i was going to like this site
visually it looks pleasing but i have NOOOO idea of what the site is or what it does, what am i registering to, can i interact.
theres no hierarchy to the information on the pages, i dont know what im meant to be looking at or doing on this site.
Am I totally missing something?
Someone explain this site to me!

is basically a news site that promotes news about typography.
If you register, it looks like you will be able to save some news to your favorites, and what it looks to be the shout box, feels similar to the public voice column in here, where people share links..
Regarding hierarchy, it looks like the newer posts are on the top, and the old ones go to the bottom, till they move to the next page, pretty standard with the exception of multiple columns, which as opposed to the similar hierarchy system we see in blogs, this might be more functional for those who have big monitors, as it looks like the content stays in grid when you resize your browser window to be wider than normal.

@Meeklo: Precisely why the site fails – it needs your paragraph to explain its navigation.
OK, maybe that was harsh – it isn't very intuitive, ironic for a site dedicated to typography ... but is was definitely fun to approach a site and have to "learn" its method.
Long story short: Definitely for web users.
