They're more about 'brands' and brand content than web. That's the way the world is going. Of course UI is important but there's millions of people to do that but not millions that are good at concept thinking. Like a book with nothing on the pages...I wonder why Youtube is popular?...because of the UI...hmmm.
It's not all about helvetica and huge swathes of mono colour.

i agree baba — but just because you are a brand/print specialist doesn't make you immune to UI standards and usability issues.
i feel that they could just present their work in a clearer interface. look at spin.co.uk for example...
