This is the dumbest war in our life-time. So many lives and resources wasted as well as environmental destruction.
And it will go on forever unless they can reach an agreement which won't happen anyway.
In hindsight Ukraine should've just given autonomy to Donbas way back if not complete separation. It's not worth to have WW3 because of the fucking Donbas.

- In March 2022 was the time to stop this war, but... There are other plans.
Now there is only one country destroyed, tens of thousands of dead and misery in Eu.OBBTKN - in 2016 this would have been a hot-take. it's long been established that the issue is the autonomy of all ukraine, not donbas.kingsteven
- but yes, i believe the invasion in 2022 was totally avoidable and represents a failure in diplomacy by populist govt's in EU and USkingsteven

Gazprom plunges to first annual loss in 20 years as trade with Europe hit
Kremlin-owned gas giant Gazprom (GAZP.MM), opens new tab said on Thursday it plunged to a net loss of 629 billion roubles ($6.9 billion) in 2023, its first annual loss in more than 20 years, amid dwindling gas trade with Europe, once its main sales market.
The results highlight the dramatic decline of Gazprom, which since the collapse of the Soviet Union has been one of Russia's most powerful companies, often used as a leverage to solve disputes with its neighbours, such as Ukraine and Moldova.- and its just starting... the russians will go broke as they have done so often already...5years max.neverscared
