Doing some research on monitors for Video editing. completely clueless here. I normally do photos only but right now i'm helping a old documentary videographer migrating to digital age....
If you know anything relate to this topic please do tell your current monitor or the monitor you wish to have?
Much appreciated if you can suggest on what key feature to look for in a video editing monitor.
And also how many monitors can I connect to a MBP 17" early 2009 Model at the same time?.Thx!
Love

I would say, get a tv and roll with that. hook it via hdmi to you computer. look at the histograms to adjust the colors.
the other route is to get a videocard (external or internal) that can output SDI/HDMI/analog HD/SD video and get professional sdi monitors.
look at blackmagic, matrox and aja for such gear:

Large display + wide gamut + accurate color + high resolution. Basically any good display should do it. Plus, what uan said.
