I never veer as close to violence as I do when this thing starts getting laggy. And it's not the mouse. It's Sonoma, and I've seen several people post about it in Apple support and on Reddit.
I'll moving across screen(s) and it just lags and the movement gets sticky on screen. It's making me insane. I already had two I've had for years and thought maybe they were going bad. Bought a new one and it was good for about a month, now it's doing this laggy crap again. It's so frustrating. Previously it was likely because of screen refresh rates being inconsistent between my two monitors, because a Mac mini M1 can't output at 60Hz through both HDMI output and Display Port. So I rearranged all that and get 60Hz in both monitors now, and still this problem persists.
