Dumb idea to run it at the same time as the Euros, but here we are. The fun starts tomorrow with ARG v CAN (this is going to be a massacre of eye-watering proportions for CAN).
ARG to win the whole thing?

Marcelo Bielsa's Uruguay could smash it. Probably more interested in watching them than any other team at the moment.
- maqui will probably agree with you, there.Continuity
- yup, haha!maquito
- Both URU and ARG are having a great moment. It will definitely be a fun cup.maquito

I'm trying to figure on which planet it happens that Canada can — so far — hold Argentina to a draw.
- A great game, BUT Argentina gonna' Argentina.ideaist
- Scaloni mentioned in press conference that the grass was awful, 2 days old. Soccer grass is better when settled for some weeks.maquito
- @ideaist One thing that disappoints me is Davies. He's had a shitty season at FC Bayern this year, and he's taking that with him to the national side.Continuity
- And I really don't know what qualifies him to be team captain. Stephen Eustáquio would have been _much_ better choice, here.Continuity

US Panama was a shit show. Hard not to blame the ref because the US did plenty wrong, but worst of all they showed their immaturity. No yellow for that wrecking ball collision with Matt Turner and the boys all lost their cool. Huge CONCACAF vibes. They totally took the bait that Panama was setting for them. BIG challenge to get a win from a firing Uruguay side.

Brazil - Paraguay...
Never felt so helpless and desperate to have Vinicius leg splintered by a bad foul. Brazil: fucking LAME. Pemé would’ve kicked your feet. Morons.

I only managed to stay awake for the first 20 minutes as I'd already been out to see the England win, but fuck me, Darwin Nunez getting into the crowd at the end to fight Columbia fans is mental. Mad bastard!!- Should have watched this instead of Euros.
lol, it wasn't enough that they were butchering each other in the field?Beeswax - Yes - he says he was protecting/saving his family and kids. But I expect some kind of lengthy ban to be handed down for this insanely stupid movestoplying
- The England v Netherlands game was decent, but a little less brutalIanbolton
- What would you do when the opposition fans are possibly threatening your family? I'd lose my shit completely. Hope he can prove it, so he doesn't get bannedIanbolton
- Should have watched this instead of Euros.

Colombia Uruguay was a knife fight. All Copa games have been knife fights, actually. Argentina Colombia in Miami on Sunday should be a fantastic battle.
- agree can't wait._niko
- I was hoping that the loser of Colombia Uruguay would be so heartbroken that they wouldn't care about playing Canada for 3rd and then we could steal a medal_niko
- ...but after the way the Colombia Uruguay game ended, there's no hope for Canada lol, the Uruguayans will want blood_niko
- ^ This here. Also, Berhalter got fired from the US MNT, and Jesse Marsch's name is being floated again, so I can imagine the boys being a bit nervous.Continuity
- But seriously ... perhaps COL and URU would prefer playing rugby?Continuity
- south american soccer is dirty and full of complaining bitches. not all soccer cultures are equalhotroddy
- It's been wild watching the difference between the Euros and Copa. Not the level of play necessarily, but the demeanor of the players. Surrounding the ref etcstoplying
