was talking to a buddy recently who lived in HK for a stretch, and were discussing how the HK movie industry has fallen off a cliff since China took over.
They used to make the most kick ass films, not just these classic kung-fu flicks but all the crazy shit from John Woo, the brilliant films of Wong Kar-wai and gangster films like Infernal affairs or all the Jackie Chan cop movies

Gordon Liu also played Pei Mei in Kill Bill. I only discovered it was him last year!
