Is it better to shoot in raw?
There are a few apps for iPhone that allow you to shoot .raw instead of .jpg.
Worth it?

If you like to edit your pictures, try it.

yikes. Not sure you gonna get that love from an iPhone. You most definitely will from a DSLR+. There might be slight benefits, but I don't think it will yield the same as a tailored tool.

Shoot raw if you intend to print and have no way to customize your jpeg settings to your liking in-camera.
But i don't know about the actual benefit of shooting raw on an iphone.

Worth it if you plan to edit things later (though be warned phone pics look amazing on a tiny screen but generally look like crap on a real computer).
[thankfully you don't need a special app to shoot in raw on a Samsung]

What person, with the capability of shooting RAW, would choose anything else?
- <OBBTKN
- If it's raw from a phone. Kind of like saying "I finished this logo in MS Paint, should I save it as .ai?"garbage
- you can choose to either save more data or less data at capture, more data is always better for processing.imbecile
- Is processing always necessary though? Some just wanna post it on the gram straight from their phone. They ain't trying to do all that!deadsperm
- what do you mean? instagram is going to process and degrade the image. if image quality matters, more data will result in a sharper image. done? delete the RAWimbecile
- Yesdeadsperm
- so now you agree with me? your argument is dumb anywayimbecile

I only shoot raw for clients, I shoot in Proxy for my daughters YouTube channel, Proxy on Black Magic Cinema camera is pretty damn good even for key-ing.
