I have a similar issue. The screen shattered about a year ago and the screen would cost almost as much to repair than it's worth. Should have fixed it but then I realised Ii never used it so its in a cupboard.

You can not sue, that's for sure. Unsuable is power.

You could always replace the screen, then sell it.

My iPad Pro felt (2016 - 9.7" - 32Gb - WiFi). It is still perfectly working but its screen is in pieces. The price of a second hand and similar one on Backmarket is almost the same then the price of a new screen + replacement.
I am now thinking of buying a refurbished 12.9". But what to do with a fully functioning but screenless iPad Pro??
If you guys have any idea please share :)
