I've had the same Cuisinart for over 20 years. This looks like a newer version but pretty much the same:

I got tired of cleaning the screen on my french press, so threw out the lid and plunger and just use the glass pot as a cowboy coffee maker.
2 good swirl and settle sessions (5min) and almost all the grounds settle. I get no more grounds in my cup than with a regular press setup.
- French press is a long process, the screen is just an extra precaution. I do 4 min, swirl, scoop floating grounds then 8 min and the grounds fall to the bottom.palimpsest
- I saw the banana as a healthy proposal and its regional as a far-fetched link to socialism.palimpsest

If you don't actually need a whole pot at once, the Jura makes a fantastic cup of coffee, one at a time.
Makes espresso, lungo (long pour espresso, pretty much regular coffee) and cappuccino, up to 14oz.
We picked up a refirb D6 when WFH started earlier this year: https://shopjura.com/factory-ser…

Lack of sunlight and 1.5' of snow in Ontario, Canada AND I hate to do it, BUT:
Requirement:
I. Delicious coffee.
II. Auto brew in the morning.French press + 2 young sons + pandemic + winter-like conditions + lack of sun + Etc. has proven too much for 6am. Thanks in advance for all relevant AND irrelevant notes.
: )
- So what you're saying is you want to grind your coffee around 12hrs before you drink it?ben_
- Why not just this? https://www.youtube.…ben_
- irrelevant notes aside, a coworker bought this one and really likes it. It at least times out the grind for you as well. - https://www.cookstor…ben_
- We have a moccamaster with thermal carafe and it's genuinely nice to have something that keeps your coffee hot without burning like a heat plateben_
- @ben_ looking for a mix of quality and convenience for various reasons. Totally don't WANT one, BUT need one.ideaist
- I get you, I'm just taking the piss. Fwiw he really likes that one I linked, he's had it since the lockdown started.ben_
- it's hard to find great all-in-one anything, but since your grind is a huge part of the "delicious" requirement, I'm gonna suggest something like the above.ben_
- https://ecscoffee.co… - are great to deal with as well, and might be worth calling.ben_
- You are merciful @ben_!

I second the Moccamaster. It's top shelf, but a little overkill for most wallets
