Any audio reinforcement/speaker buffs here?
Client has a built in 3w speaker... they've said, "Kids like it better than their mobile phone speakers," which I can appreciate the honesty...
They're sending me the product so I can get a better grip, however, ya know, they want me to write about it now...
Any positive thoughts/redeeming qualities/remarks/characters of a 3W speaker?
3w speaker means absolutely nothing - it's just a measure of how much power it can take - ie hardly any...
where is said speaker mounted? what's it for? etc etc
assuming this is some sort of bluetooth speaker, the only reason it would sound better than a phone speaker is because of the fact that it's sound isn't baffled by small metal holes like on an iphone.
like hans said, 3w on it's own doesn't really mean anything.
some other considerations as to why kids would like it better would probably be that it's louder, bass-biased, and a gadget.

Built into what? What is the client doing and why are their kids involved? 3w is very low power but isn’t an actual specification of speaker.
Listen to stuff through it. Then give an opinion on what you heard.
I have a 3W guitar amplifier for practice in the house. It's incredible.
SO yeah, give stuff a listen, see if you like it. Write your experience.
3w for a speaker is virtually nothing. A $10 alarm clock with a built in speaker probably has more power than that.
- you're sounding like a snob... do you understand this is a practical question where opinions mean nothingcanoe
