The work training we did, it was an online course but I took substantial notes because all of this was really hitting home to me.
Types of Stress
- Acute Stress - least harmful, short term, stress leading up to a one-time event or task, may feel irritable or anxious, stomach aches, sweaty palms, chest pains, shortness of breath, rush of adrenaline like about to ride a roller coaster. once the stressful situation is over, symptoms go away.- Episodic Stress - perpetual stress, more regular, even daily. people who suffer may be disorganized, in a rush, or worried about something, even if it’s unimportant. this stress over years will have an impact on health.
- Chronic Stress - worst kind. long term stress. not properly managing episodic stress, constantly overwhelmed or anxious, have a hard time relaxing. can affect all parts of your life, up to a mental or physical breakdown.
Effects of Stress.
- becoming easily agitated, moody, overwhelmed, having difficulty relaxing and quieting mind, low self esteem, or feeling depressed, and, avoiding others.Physical - low energy, headaches, upset stomach, aches, pains, tense muscles, chest pain, rapid heart beat, etc. nervousness
cognitive - constantly worrying, racing thoughts, forgetfulness, disorganization, inability to focus, poor judgement, pessimism.
behavioral - procrastination, increased use of alcohol, nervous behavior

i find it peculiar how we find ourselves becoming more anxious and working so steadily to alleviate that stress. it's quite obvious why we are anxious. financial instability surrounds us, pollution, climate change, corrupt governments, social media, shortened attention spans, less nutritious food, greater economic discrepancy... people who believe in a flat earth are on jury duty for people that are doing drugs that are legal in other states. people so gluttonous they become disabled and subsidized by their own government. nothing makes sense. it sucks, we're fucked, and we're supposed to act like everything is okay. valium anyone? xanax? bueller? bueller?
- How is it peculiar? You just explained it.ben_
- in the '20s and '30s, people practically drank themselves to death for similar reasonsmonospaced
- the peculiarity comes from our behaviour constantly avoiding these stresses invading our bubbles pushing us to substance reliefimbecile

My wife uses it for anxiety as well. Sleep's been stressful while on mat leave, she says it helps a ton and in the 10 months she's been using it, she hasn't complained of any side effects.
I tried it out for 40 year old skateboarder joint pain but didn't notice any real improvement, that said I have some friends who swear by it.
Good luck!
- What type of anxiety does she have and how has it helped?HijoDMaite
- It's not diagnosed, but is consistent with what new moms go through, then the anxiety of going back to work/leaving child in day care...ben_
- About 2 months after our daughter was born, she started having trouble sleeping (not the normal kind, our daughter has been a great sleeper)...ben_
- so she says it helps her relax and probably more specifically not wake up in panic, similar to melatonin before bed.ben_

I had a mild labral tear in my shoulder a few months back, and got a CBD balm that comes in a giant chapstick-like applicator.
I can't attest to whether or not it made a difference, but I can say it's a great pathway to getting shoulder rubs from the missus.
Also at this point you can just get a variety of CBD products from the grocery store, some of them here keep them by the registers.

Canadian woman faces lifetime ban after getting caught with CBD oil at U.S. border
'There seems to be a lot of confusion with Canadians entering the U.S. with regards to CBD,' lawyer says
U.S. border protection has barred a young Canadian woman from crossing the border after cannabidiol (CBD) oil was found in her backpack — a non-psychoactive product of the cannabis plant she uses to treat the painful side effects of scoliosis.

U.S. reverses lifetime ban on Canadian woman who crossed border with CBD oil, her lawyer says
Less than two weeks after a Canadian woman was barred from entering the United States after she was found with cannabidiol (CBD) oil at the border, her lawyer says her lifetime ban from entering the states has been reversed in what he is calling a "best-case scenario."
"Going forward all I can tell people is to be cautious on what they bring to the United States because who knows, today CBD oil is OK, but CBD oil next month may not be. Nobody really knows what's going on," he said.

I can't speak for the oils or using it for anxiety, but I use the cream on my back. I have a piece of shit back that goes out just by moving wrong. CBD cream has been really effective with pain management;

for me it's always depended on how much other weed related stuff has been consumed. if you don't smoke CBD is great. if you do you may not notice it as much.

any updates from those of you who have been trying it?
- dee-dubs1
I started today, 600mg 4 drops twice a day.
Hoping it's a one trick fix all miracle cure for my anxiety, bad skin, tiredness etc etc...
Either way, I quite like the oily subtle weed taste you get in your mouth after taking it...

So I have the paste and the guy also gave bottle of 5% CBD MCT Oil
He suggested emptying out half of the oil (and keeping it). Then putting half of the paste into the bottle and mixing it. That's what he uses. He's the brand owner so knows his stuff.
The paste gives a much more full spectrum punch and mixing it with the oil gives more of a punch but also is a much more effective delivery method.
Looking forward to trying these mixed. Will keep the thread updated.

I've read that its better to take it in the morning

The product I got contain :
THC 0,25 mg/ml
CBD 10,20 mg/mlI started by taking 0.50mg each shot. Now I takes more or less 0.75mg
At my local canabis shop I could buy another product containing 15mg/ml of CBC. I honestly dont think it would make a huge difference, and it cost way more than the product I'm using atm.
The product I'm using right now contain 0,25mg/ml of THC, but I have absolutely zero feeling out of this lol
I will continue to take it and see what happen.
