I narrowed it down to a single layer and re-applied my setMatte effect. That fixed the issue. I'm not sure if I did anything wrong here. It's pretty scary when it happens.
- Nice... glad you sorted it out. Was about to post I've had a few errors like this where you're left checking each layer like you did - I don't think there's...PonyBoy
- ... a quicker way of finding the issue than what you did.
... and yeah - scary af when you've dumped hours / days into a project. Again—glad you figured it out!PonyBoy

well a matrix of numbers is something like this:
0 / 35 / 76
23 / 0 / 7
54 / 8 / 12used to store 3d data for example, or colour data, position data used for transformations etc.
And unable to invert could possibly mean the matrix values are all zero's. You can't invert 0's. You can invert 1 to -1
Watch this channel to widen your mathematical understanding, it'll help you understand what's going on under the hood of your design softwares like AE /C4D/AI/PS etc:
- also back up, save as you go...shapesalad

maybe an issue with one of your plugins or maybe if you have nested comps try and turn off continuous rasterization.
