You can also go through the native display calibration tool (Color tab in Displays Preferences) to adjust temperature of your display.

my optometrist is always trying to sell me an extra pair of glasses to look at screens with. I figured by the time I'm blinded I'll be old enough to retire anyway.

I've updated to OS X El Capitan 10.11.6
I checked for any updates, but there are no more updates.
Still not finding night shift. How do I find night shift?
- upgrade your OS ;)monospaced
- You need 10.12 Sierra (2016) or newermonospaced
- i'm checking for updates and it says no updates available, how do i get it? thanks monopinkfloyd
- That might be because your computer is too old to run a newer OS (2012 or earlier). You might have to go 3rd party or try the calibration tool.monospaced
- mine is from 2015pinkfloyd
- Should be fine.monospaced
- You might have to go straight to the App Store and upgrade to mojave. Not exactly sure.monospaced

wtf we are graphic designers why do you want your screen to go orange at night
- Because it dramatically improves your sleep. Your brain isn't supposed to process blue light after the sun goes down.********
- That's right. Daytime sunlight is in the range of 6500K, and moonlight is near the 4100K temperature, which is like a soft white (warm) light. Better for eyes.monospaced
- well my company spent a good amount of cash on expensive displays and color calibration. Not gonna ruin it with this shit.mekk
- I'm not sure anyone gives one single shiny shit whether you do or not my friend********

Just use f.lux app, it's the best for this sort of thing. Based on your location. Can disable for specific apps etc. Free.
- how do I adjust f.lux to be on all the time? it only works during the sleep setting and I have to toggle it at morningspinkfloyd
