What software are you using to record? I've seen a lot of them that actually have that option built in.

It's dead simple, create a transparent png 35x35px (i leave a red dot in the middle), convert it to cur. and add it as mouse cursor in the Mouse Properties.
- How would you know where you’re cursor is then? Wouldn’t this make t really hard to move around?monospaced
- I guess the red dot would help :)monospaced

^ Helpful. Nothing in there about turning off the pointer.

Usually the screen recording software has that option built in, since it’s a common need you’ve got here. Turning off the cursor in the OS itself isn’t advised as using the computer would be seriously hampered. Good luck.
- Lots of gamers use FRAPS to record their sessions on YouTube and do this exact thing. https://ccm.net/faq/…monospaced

Im not trying to turn off pointer trails. Im trying to turn off the pointer entirely.
- Yes, I get that. Try scrolling down beyond the very first search result. You're the sort of user that clicks on Google ads, aren't you?detritus
- You sent search results for keyboard shortcuts. Already checked all of them before I made this post.CygnusZero4

I just typed "hide mouse pointer windows 10" in Google and by Golly, the first page was littered with options.
Crazy.
- There's even one that matched my first assumption - create a new mouse cursor that's blank. Obv. you'll need to understand shortcuts to go'n'change backdetritus
- And, just to preëmpt you:
https://www.google.c…detritus - Actually, I'd probably save myself potentual headaches and create a single black pixel cursor, then just hide it in a corner.detritus

just record with the mouse, and then you can track it on after effects and replace with something else, you can parent a adjustment layer with blur to it so it doesn't appear
