When I was in Japan nearly 2 years ago I saw some Vision Street Wear stuff in some department stores in beside Vans etc.
Recently I've been in need of some new t-shirts, trainers etc for the summer so had been looking up VSW stuff I can buy from Japan and have shipped over. Was going to get quite a lot of stuff. The other day I'm sitting scrolling through my Facebook Feed and I see an advert for a "Limited Drop" "Number 3" of Vision Street Wear stuff at TopMan.
There's some fucking hideous chav-like trakkies and hoodies but they do have some tees with just the old school logo.
It means that all the wee TopShop clones will be running around with VSW on with no clue and probbaly never stepped on a skateboard. The original company sold the brand name to someone whos just churning out stuff and obviously sellign to big chain stores worldwide.
A sell out?
Do I grab some tees? They are pricey so was thinking about waiting until they go in sale cos will wee chavs really buy the stuff?

Limited drop my ass, the brand relaunched about 5 years ago, noticed it in UO and some vaguely hip retailers a few years back. By all means go for it if for the 80s nostalgia, but the kids will be like "VSW", "yeah wasn't Rhianna wearing that in 2013?" ... a literal baby rocks up on a hoverboard "Rhi... Who?" ...
Authenticity level: 'authenticbrandsgroup.com'
- Fuck sake, they have Airwalk too!
It won't put me off buying a pair of VICs though ;)microkorg - 20 years dead brand trades on 'punk' lineage while owned by venture capitalists. i guess if you wan't authenticity you should just buy or make a knock-off :-Dkingsteven
