I was hoping they were public television, I’m glad they most likely lean left and have an affinity for the arts. Last thing we need is some kind of foreign Fox News outfit framing the documentary to paint my dad in a bad way.
Thanks for your help!
- France 2's programs are quite good when it comes to investigations, portraits, historical outlook on recent events. No cynicism whatsoever in their reports.spl33nidoru
- Their documentaries can be pretty rich when it comes to how much is covered in a short time, don't be surprised if the week with your dad is summed up in 5 min!spl33nidoru

France2 is one of our public channel, they have some very good documentaries.
I can't check the video right now but I can tell you later tonight what it's about.

So this documentary is about a woman telling her story being held captive by the Syrian regime.
France2 has done very good documentary shows, IMO the best of French TV. In depth jounarlistic investigation, and no sensationalism.
If you want to see more, check these : "Envoyé spécial" "un œil sur la planète" ,"complément d'enquête", "infrarouge".
They each have a different editiorial line. Envoyé spécial is more about current news, complement d'enquête usually go in depth regarding a event that was in the news some time ago, un œil sur la planète is about specific facts regarding a country, and infrarouge is about events that shape French society.
You can find them on YouTube trough france2 dedicated channels.

I think the OP is asking about the credibility/validity of the channel mostly. In case he is uses it for reference and it turns out to be The Onion or Sunday Sport type thing?

A team from this program is flying my father to Mexico City round trip to interview and film him for a week!

Some kind of cheap BBC with moustache and beret. And as a public channel, it is, somehow, french government's voice.

It's the main public channel in France. Huge audience.
They also collaborate with arte.tv (europe's culture channel, and possibly one of the best tv channels around). It's a big thing to get interviewed by them
