Anyone mess with this? Like? Dislike? Recommend?

used that to make exhibit designs in 2007-2008 useful and easy if you do not want to learn autocad. i recommend for simple floorplans and "to scale" 2d visuals.

Useful if you are stuck with Illustrator, a godsend for marking dimensions on elevations or other dimensional plans.

I use it everyday, couldn't work if I didn't have it.
- Can you tell me?: if you were to select a large group of stroked lines, would it be able to tell you the combined length of them all? Thanksdetritus
- I should just try the demo, shouldn't i?
hahadetritus - yes, it totally can do thatKnuckleberry
- Shit, that in itself would be worth the cash.
Thanks!detritus

Huh. I forgot about this. I remember looking into it (or something very like it) about 5 years ago.
I could really do with this as I use Illustrator all the time and about a quarter of the things I use it for could benefit from some CAD-like smartness.
I tried a few CAD programs early on and hated the impositions of their 'uncreative' workflow — it would be good, for me anyway, to have an amalgam of the two toolsets.
*adds to shopping list*
- I'm just about nerdy enough in illustrator to work around most problems, but there are some things (eg. notched joins) that are a PITA to edit manually.detritus
