Hey Y'all,
Heading to Japan in a little over a month with the GF and we will be there for just under 2 weeks. We'll be in Tokyo for 6 days as well as Osaka and Kyoto for about 2.5 each.
I've looked through previous posts but am curious if anyone has been more recently or just has any good recommendations overall. We'll likely hit up a handful of the major attractions in each location but would love to know of any hidden gems in terms of shops, food, drink etc or things to do/see off the beaten path.
Any tips appreciated!
Cheers.

Look for this near Sangenjaya Eki(station) - it's 2 stops down from Shibuya.

2nd oldest Baseball batting Centre in Japan
Looks like something straight our of a manga drawing. note the hand towels on coat hangers.
Excellent way to spend ¥200.
Some good bars near there too.
- It's on top of an old discount supermarket. That photo shows the fire-escape entrance. Sign is in Japanese. Just look up for it.fruitsalad

Also for a classy cocktail and to hear some records on an expensive hi-fi:
It's run by Shinichi Osawa.
