Saw this Keith Haring print, "Andy Mouse," in a gallery yesterday and thought it was supposed to be an insult to Warhol, probably deserved. But coming from Keith Haring it seemed ridiculous, pot calling the kettle black and such. The woman at the gallery told me Haring loved Disney, and probably didn't mean this as a jab at either of them.
Do you all like pop art? Is it really redeemable? Paintings like this seem to rub your nose in the fact that it is a bunch of commercial, moneymaking bullshit.
