How can I delete a large amount of photos from my phone? I don't want to tap and delete thousands of times.
I want to do this (probably in the Photos app on my computer) with little pain.

Connect your iPhone and open up the Image Capture app on your Mac. It'll do exactly what you want.
- It doesn't recognize my iPhone. I would restore the phone from a backup but I get a disc full error when I try.CyBrainX
- Well, then it sounds like your issue is really that your iPhone doesn't connect to your computer at all.monospaced
- It connects in iTunes. Right now I'm waiting for all my photos to finish copying from the phone. After that I"ll try restoring and the Image Capture thing againCyBrainX
- If it connects in iTunes and iPhoto, then it should connect in Image Capture too.monospaced

bulk delete in photos app: http://www.macworld.com/article/…

On the iPhone, open the Photos app, hit the back arrow until you're in Moments. Tap Select and then tap each collection you want to delete. Tap the trash can and you're done.

You can select multiple photos with (tap+hold+drag) on iPhone. It's like selecting multiple files with computer mouse.

Thanks everyone. Image Capture finally recognized the phone. I was able to delete all the photos there. For some reason the videos were still remaining but I was able to delete those in the Photos app. I wish I could just handle all this in iTunes.
- A lot of people wouldn't like their music app to handle their photos too.monospaced

Flic is a good way if you want to sort through your photos deciding what to keep/trash. Tinder style swipe left/right interface.

No more pussy pics of your ex to be found from the new girl huh?
- CyBrainX2
The new girl never checks my phone but the ex-wife did frequently. Not that I had anything to hide. That's how you earn your ex status for sure.

connect the iphone over USB, and open the app Image Capture, this will let you delete all the image at once if you need to.
