I liked the graphics, wanted to buy it, but from my experience with similar games -- I would get tired of it after 2 hours
Yup, I'm playing on PS4 and am enjoying it quite a bit!
I played it but I got bored after reaching lvl 30. There is not much to do after that and pvp is pretty frustrating when you're alone. I think this game needs to mature a bit, get some upgrades here and there and a proper endgame concept. Like Diablo got the rifts and Grifts later or like Destiny.
I noticed that the community is rather passive. When WoW was new everyone went nuts and grouped together, making guilds, doing raids, or was just farming and chatting. I missed that, I hoped this 'fist time new to big mmo' experience would come back but it didn't.
+ Graphics / Atmosphere
o passive community
- Lack of content
I have it on PS4 - but as the post above suggests, it's pretty boring after level 30. I get that incursions are coming along (which are raid like levels) but i'm not sure that even those will hold my interest.
The whole game feels a bit light on the PVP/co-op aspect, the NPCs are repetitive and the Daily missions are not that fun.
I was hoping for a Rainbow Six tactical type of MMO, but it feels more like a post apocalyptic GTA.
I think i'll be going back to Destiny after the patch today - where they are releasing a whole bunch of new content. The Raids co-op activities for Destiny just feel much more thought out and satisfying to complete.
Feel free to add me if you are on PS4 though, I cycle between Destiny and Division: BomberGBR
I've been playing it and get the crits above, but am having a lot of fun with it regardless un: mr_benotto_moto on ps4.
Still playing here.
Still playing. Still ruining some nights to play with friends that don't get on until close to midnight. Long nights on the weekends with a full team.
The dark zone can be very frustrating at times in a 2 man team. Almost rage quit on a buddy because we were extracting stuff and he calls out rogues but they weren't rogues running up to us and I panicked and sprayed them with bullets before realizing the mistake. All the while my buddy ran off and let me try to take on them by myself.
Only other thing I hate wasting time with is the inventory and trying to line up all the right perks to unlock talents and trying to figure out what gear is better than other gear. Id much prefer talents being unlocked with usage like destiny instead of being tied to all the gear, and having 31 gear be more easily recognizable as 31. Speaking of gear I probably need to go spend an hour and sort gear before I play again with teammates...
- fuck 3.9 GB update. Must be new contentdeathboy
- lol - I give credit the dark zone has created a wild wild west standoff paranoriaHayoth
- hell yea. run when u see rogues and always checking the map. you see people out numbering u choose a new place to go and watch over your shoulder.deathboy
I haven't played games in about 2 years. I miss it so much.
Is shit way better now? Last game I played was Modern Warfare 3
^ I loved some of the COD games but once I hit my mid 30s, I guess my eyes just couldn't handle the fast pace, and my mind couldn't handle the skill of the kids playing it. I'll still play Modern Warfare or the first Black Ops once in a while, but that's about it. Any pure vegging out I do is either recording music or listening to records.
I understand that some people doesn't like the lack of content or the repetition, but in my opinion, it is normal and unsolvable.
The Division is more an hybrid game between solo and multi player game. And you have to sacrifice something (the story telling, the content). I think that the way you can switch between solo, team, pve, pvp or whatever they call it, is just brilliant and smooth, and all of this in a beautiful open world.
I decided to skip this game not because it's bad but because I can't invest the time on it to git gud and level up.
I have been playing the fuck out of this recently. Well, since launch to be honest. Having a lot more fun than I initially thought I would - it's Diablo III with guns and even worse voice acting - you run around killing goons for loot and any shit loot you get is binned or ground down.
Only briefly ventured into the Dark Zone purely as a tourist to see how the environments differ from the exterior. But because I was underpowered I got absolutely fucking beasted by the heavyweight NPC's. Now my PSN has ended, so I doubt I will venture back in.
The story is fucking laughable, with every kind of Noo Yoik stereotype shoehorned in. '...the bads guys are ins the tunnels.' One guy even calls them mooks. Fuck me. But, skip all that balls and it's a great grind-shooter which, as a 3D artiste, has interesting environments and atmosphere. I'm loading up my PS4 with screenshots of all the various locations and lighting to use as reference.
@sofakingback, last two years you say? This is what I spend most of my gaming time with:
- Witcher 3
- Dying Light
- Tomb Raider and Rise of the Tomb Raider
- GTA V PC remaster
- Metal Gear Solid V
- Zombie Army Trilogy
