- at the time, yes.
now, played in every goddamn coffee bar in east london.Bluejam - Agree, but to heads sixtoo has been lauded for years, cold facts was digger gold! When David Holmes got him in to the studio in 2003 he just asked about and gotkingsteven
- his number, phoned him and he drove to the studio... the film is superfan marketing BS.kingsteven
- "liked it before it was cool"O0O0O0
- He was a surprise guest at a film festival I attended a few years back https://www.youtube.…JerseyRaindog

- +1 for The God Machine - criminally underrated band and way more influential than given credit for.face_melter
- Dexy's Midnight Runners deserves to be set on fire for Come on Eileen.CyBrainX

60s:
Moby Grape debut70s:
King Crimson - Red80s:
Pixies - Doolittle90s:
Ween - Chocolate and Cheese00s:
Supergrass - Road to Rouen10s:
Parquet Courts - Sunbathing Animal- great collection. I don't think doolittle is underrated though-- it's probably the most popular pixies albumsarahfailin
- +1 for Supergrass!Krassy
- niceGnash
- the problem with the pixies is no one will ever be able to hear them now in the same way... to most people under 30 everything they brought to the table haskingsteven
- been parodied to the point that they sound like a shit b52s. With you on Supergrass though.kingsteven
- The Pixies were probably a lazy choice. I think they transcend time. Young people like the Beatles and you can't be more imitated than that.CyBrainX
- +1 for Supergrass! maaan, I loved them a lot back in the days, went to one of their shows here in Brazil, it was a very nice band, sad they've endedfeel
- Yeah. Supergrass were the tits! Amazing band, both in the studio and live! Saw them 4-5 times through the years/ Wish they were still touring today.Krassy
- Good call on Moby Grape! Same with Ween—such a great fucking guitar playerjaylarson

Blind Melon's Soup. Fantastic album.
Any album by the Ass Ponys, but i have an affinity for this one (Some Stupid With A Flare Gun) because i got a pre-release copy from someone on a chat board who was the singer's neighbor. It was back when they were off A&M and hadn't struck a deal with Checkered Past Records yet. And it as some really great songs as well
- Fav song off the Ass Ponys album https://www.youtube.…locustsloth
- Hated SOUP when it came out now I love it. Mouth Full of Cavities is one of my all time fav songs.fooler

megapuss reminds me of (the much better imho) g love and special sauce
- Loved this one. It was all the urban cred a 90's neo-hippie needed and/or could getlocustsloth
- what? not even close stylisticallydocpoz
- ok i admit i only listened to the first 40 secs or so and stopped when it got whineyhans_glib
- so why even say anything? fucking stupid, dude.docpoz
- well, because the first 40 secs reminded me of the g love album, that's why.hans_glib
- and i've now listened all the way through, and also "theme from hollywood" and stand by my original comments, so ner.hans_glib
- the only thing they have in common are that they use similar instrumentsdocpoz
- megapuss is not trying to rap...they sing.docpoz
- i guess if you really delve into it, they both have blues backbones, but it's hardly defining either bands' work in comparison.docpoz
- antimotion1
- Got to see them tour this with a live band at the Trocadero in Philly back in 93-ish? Cool shit.stoplying
