PS Question (frames)

I have an animated gif of a windmill that I need to duplicate in the same file, so there are multiple windmills moving at the same time.
How on earth do I duplicate the layers AND the frames? I simply cannot work out how to do it.
I've done a fair bit of googling but still no joy, any ideas?
Thanks

Duplicate the Layers?

You'll hate me for this, but - Flash? Then output as GIF?
I can't think of any way to do what you want in PS, unless it's gotten a lot smarter with SmartObjects over the past wee while...

I think you need to convert the gif timeline into the video timeline, that way you can duplicate and do stuff with layers.
Just look for it, I'm not sure how or where it is, I'll try searching here and post a printscreen for ya

So I tried this out on a very simple animation - basically having a square appear, then disappear in two different locations. It may work for what you need.
Take the frame-by-frame animation and convert it to a Video Timeline (button should be in the bottom left of the timeline panel (CC2015).
Click on all the frames and group them together (Command+G).
Command+J to duplicate the group.
Move group around in the timeline accordingly as well as around in the workspace based on where/when you want things to play/appear.
- Basically what feel said.duckseason
- << yes, do thisfeel
- Realize I could have worded things a bit more clearly in terms of frames vs layers on the timeline. I'm sure you get the idea...duckseason
- Yep, just 'convert to video timeline' was all I needed. Thanks :)set
