It's real folks. Actually kinda brilliant coming from an Automotive company. Lexus will be testing the hover board in Barcelona this Summer. It works on liquid nitrogen-cooled superconductors and magnets. Crazy stuff.

Lexus says the project has been in development for 18 months, and works using liquid nitrogen-cooled superconductors and permanent magnets. Unfortunately that also means the board is only usable on a metal track or surface -- in the video it appears that it is working on a normal skatepark, but Lexus has confirmed there is a metal layer underneath.
