Don't think anyone should be canceling their Adobe subscription just yet. Before I point a finger at the design team, I'd float blame on the marketers and merchandisers who insisted on squeezing blood from a stone in order to generate a bloated, watered down platform which will probably translate into dozens of uniform combinations in the hopes of selling a shit-ton of merch.
It's not terrible. I'd argue the marks aside from the one with the stag are completely unnecessary and the typography is underwhelming and looks unfinished. Could the stag have been finessed more? Absolutely, but the designers were probably bogged down with bullshit requests for other ways to apply the Magneto M and/or basketball on dozens of teritary marks.
It's too soon to tell if this new program is truly bad because they've withheld the uniforms. Application trumps standalone logo. If the organization uses the uniforms to isolate/display this new logo, then ouch. But if this new crest acts as a supporting graphic to some decent typography and colorways, then this could get interesting.
- I wouldn't put the blame on the merchandisers. The bucks have been due for a new logo for a while now.iCanHazQBN

From the website:
The centerpiece of the new brand is the new Buck emblem. The new Buck is only looking ahead, an imposing figure determined and focused on the path in front of him. Several features chronicle the transformation of the team into an undeniable force:
1. An expanded rack (from 8 to 12 points) showing the maturation of the Buck, and underlining the point that he has become an even greater force.
2. The basketball feature in the negative space between the antlers.
3. The M Shape within the chest chevron as an homage to Milwaukee
4. With hard edges that appear almost cut from metal, and industrial but classic proprietary font juxtaposed against the curvature of the logo represents a symbolic union of urban and rural Wisconsin.
- PR fluff written by a high school student. "focused on the path in front of him"?? Are you serious??iCanHazQBN

It looks like a design school student's attempt, cramming too many ideas into the logo and hoping everyone accepts it.
Those basketball lines and buck cheek indents will never print well.
