Yep. Hand written notes go a long way actually.

I send an email blast out and make a custom card/image each year.
It seems a little overkill sending a 'real' card, unless the client is giving you consistent and TONS of business. I guess I need to find some of these clients in 2015!
(I have given iPads as a thank you, laser engraved, etc., for large project, but that's not a norm)

Yep, custom cards, personalized envelopes, hand written notes, and a Jawbone Mini Jambox to clients, all packaged and wrapped up nicely. Takes forever though, a solid 4 full days (sent 24).
Nah, doesn't make it look like you're looking for work. Lets em know you appreciate them. Lil' late in the game though at this point. I get all that started in September every year.
Old clients and prospects I just sent a card though.

I thought only big agencies did this so they could enter them into next year's design awards. ie. No.

To potential clients?
To old clients you haven't heard from in a while?Does it work? Does it make you seem like you're looking for work or lame?
