@uan, if you mean the sports section example, there's a universal modification that we're working on to change it all.
- the add pushing the 2nd level nav away disassociates 1st and 2nd level. covering over the 2nd nav could be better.uan
- yup. the next gen nav would consolidate the two.zenmasterfoo

http://www.usatoday.com/ has a different approach to the meganav solution...kind of a carrousel (they ruined it with the add placed on top of the secondary navigation), but you get the approach i guess.

I like the design of the big content drop downs on:
- they can be col looking but data indicates low usage/engagement. also has negative impact on userzenmasterfoo
- zen, do you have a link to that data and 'negative impact on user' info?goldieboy

I hear your pain. I quite liked this recently - http://www.cornell.edu/
Nice and simple in mobile view, but works for many levels..

hi y'all, I need good examples of complex multilevel navigation. We're redoing a beast of a university site with tons and tons of content, we managed to get it down to 4 sub levels (you don't want to know how messy it was) and we're moving to layout now. Some great inspiration or new ideas would be great. (although nothing too advanced because compatibility is paramount)
Cheers.
