It's not the mouse, btw.
InDesign simply scrolls in chunks, and about 4X faster, regardless of what mouse you have plugged in. I've written Adobe about this countless times, and they never do jack shit. What kind of top page layout program can't implement smooth, normal speed scrolling in their app like all the rest of the Suite?
I use a Logitech and am able to drop the scroll rate to basically 0 for just InDesign. It's the only solution I've found.

I never understand the comments about the magic mouse. Mine works perfectly for me. Maybe the problem is your neurological connection to your fingers...

I don't often use a mouse, but when I do....it's a 15 year old Logitech that cost £10...these Apple mice are physical and psychological torture!

Adobe can't code scrolling to save their lives
"Must be the mouse makers fault"

ditched mine too, don't know what ass came up with this piece of shit. I recommend Logitech's MX518, G5, G500(s) and the ones shaped like 'em. Sadly only for right-handed folks

it's a short learning curve, i would learn to accept it.

This was happening to me all of fucking day...I felt like a retard using a computer for the first time in my life. My account manager looked at me as if I was hack.

We had an issue at work where the signals would cross from two users mice - all the sudden this dude would be working and the mouse would be taken over as if digitally possessed.

It's got a cool "teleport to a random spot" feature when your working in Photoshop.
- Seriously!

had that same problem when i got my magic mouse with indesign.
mainly from scrolling through pages. now i just use the pages palette.

I stopped using mine because the battery died every month.

It's only fast when you're holding down the Option key, I think. Which is often. Maybe there is a way to turn that off.

Is there anyway to turn down the sensitivity on this pice of crap?! Working in InDesign and just simply scrolling takes the mouse on a magical journey all over the entire document at times.
So annoying!
