Hey QBN'ers and fellow cyclists. Wanted to get your feedback on 2 shirts I am offering up on kickstarter in support of Critical Mass. I launched this project yesterday and looking for feedback and suggestions you guys may have.http://kck.st/1jwZ3r9

i like the left version of the shirt (the right one is too generic imho), and the back is okay. not sure what a snake has to do with biking or CM?
do you offer the left print on a black t-shirt?
- i get the tire-tread snake thing, but it still doesn't make that much sense...unless i'm still missing something.lvl_13
- right one is generic on purpose for those who don't like graphic t-shirts. If the site gains traction then a black shirt would be optional.irrelevant

Are you trying to raise money to start a t-shirt company?

Why not just set-up a esty/zazzle/shopify account?
- they take too much of a cut.irrelevant
- fair enough...utopian

lvl_13: The idea for the snake came from the iconic "don't tread on me" flag in response to the growing number of motorist/cyclist accidents as of late. It also represents the unity of critical mass and the attitude that we remain strong despite ongoing resentment from motorists.
dbloc: Yes, I would like to be able to offer many customized critical mass shirts for different cities and countries if the concept gained traction. I would also like to be able to let other cm artists to showcase their shirts on the site with the opportunity to sell them accordingly.
- cool. thanks for the clarification. good luck with your endeavor.lvl_13
- thanks, it's a shot in the dark but something I had on my mind for a while so we will see.irrelevant

If you charge $20 on Etsy, they take .20 cents to publish and if you sell one, they take 3.5%. That equals .70 cents...So they take a total of .90 cents. You think that's too much??

I had these guy silkscreen my latest t-shirts...they do individual shirts, short runs and or large run printing. Nice quality and free shipping.

not sure if kickstarter is the place to start a clothing company.

Crtical Massers are a fairly dedicated bunch — if your stuff is any good, they'll buy it. If it's not.. well, they won't.
As dbloc says I'm not wholly sure that KS is the right way to go with this. But what the fuck do I know?
Are you in contact with your local bunch of unruly cycle couriers? Get in with them and let them do you rmarketing for you.
- Mind you, they probably won't go for white t-shirts, grubby motherfuckers that they are :)detritus
