any of you NYC guys know of any cool local artists? more specifically, Brooklyn artists would be ideal.
probably photographers or printmaker types would be best, ones that have a local theme (again, Brooklyn) would be perfect.
and I'm thinking more graphic style than fine art style. something along these lines...

monday bump. some good suggestions here.
a little more info, i'm not looking to hire a designer or illustrator, i'm looking to find cool art to be displayed somewhere. the posted i originally posted was one my boss liked, and wanted more "local" artists like that.
and i'm looking more for prints than single pieces of art, just for liability reasons i guess, as they would be in a public place without anybody really keeping a tight watch on them. not that they'd get stolen, but could get touched.

Nothing map related, but you can look at the screen printed work of Matt Siren and Faile
- cool. doesn't need to be map related. anything brooklyn related will work.johnny_wobble

I'm from Brooklyn. But somehow zBrushed Japanese Monsters and Marvel super villains aren't what I think you are looking for.
- ha. yeah, i dig your sculpting, but not what i'm looking for.johnny_wobble
