What iPad? Do you need mic pres? You sure you want USB connection? Not Lightning?

The iPad 4 I think, not the latest, the one before.
I think Mic Pre's would be cool to have but not essential.
You can't do MIDI across Lightning, dumb I know.
- yeah you can... there were loads of rumours that it couldn't, put me off too...kingsteven
- mine even powers my miditech in/out cable via the camera connector kit.kingsteven

This might do the trick plus more, apart from the 2496...

i've heard those akai eie's are great for iPad. EIE Pro does 24 bit for $200/£165... i have a shitty roland audio interface but usually just use the jack output and one of these: http://www.thomann.de/gb/miditec… with the camera connector kit for midi.
- ahh, EIE pro doesn't work. The old one does but only 16bit soz.kingsteven

I would like to add the iPad as an aggregated device, the IConnect does that but there must be something else similar.
I would probably have to use Asio4All too as I already have a MOTU Traveler connected to my PC (with Cubase 7)

I've got a Roland UA-25. A lot of their range has digital in/outs.
It's a pity though that their model that DOES support iPad audio doesn't have Digital in/out. Doh!http://www.roland.co.uk/products…
Or do you just want to take audio into PC from your ipad from headphone-out?
Then i'd recommend the Rolands.
