the free plan includes time tracking.

Software developers have rapidly discovered that charging a one time fee doesn't pay the bills as consumers have grown to expect lifetime updates and bug fixes once they purchase something. Unfortunately, (or fortunately for developers) this means monthly/yearly subscriptions.
- I get that, and if it is a cheap, I'd have no problem, but a few hundred a year is a lot for something so basicformed

Some of these look great, but spending $20/month or so just seems ridiculous. All I need, dammit, is one of those free timers but with a calendar, projects and export feature. Nothing more.
You think that would be not difficult for a $50 piece of software, don't you? I had some software a few years ago that was like $10, but it is long gone.
It seems everything is tied to subscriptions and 'access' (which I could careless about look at on a phone).
So far, Toggl looks the most reasonable at $5/user/month. But that just seems crazy to spend hundreds a year, doesn't it?
- "but with a calendar, projects and export feature" - there's the rub. It's not just a clock anymorehereswhatidid

I still use the iBiz version I got several years ago. Works fine.
Seems like Excel would have a timing function in it?
- Here's some:

Yes, I want to purchase it. I don't care about accessing on my iPhone, I just need a damn clock that keeps time!
Seem like it should be a $10 piece of software.
(I start this thread every year or so and have yet to find something...the one I found, on CNET, installed a ton of malware even though it was highly rated and just a trial run. Almost killed an employee's computer)

A shitty fact of life is that a lot of quality, essential items (like time keeping, organization, etc.) are becoming monthly expenditures.
I used to use iBiz and loved it; simple but powerful. Hoping for an update and was instead punished with a discontinued product:

I'm sure you (like myself) are looking for a free OR purchasable software.
- Yeah, no problem paying for it, but spending $60+ a year, per employee for a clock is kinda sillyformed

thanks...a little pricey for what I am looking for (no need for invoicing, etc., just need something to track hours per project)

Anyone have a good, simple software (for PC) for keeping track of time?
I need to keep track of others time and give them something simple to use to report/track.
Toggl (https://new.toggl.com/#) seems pretty good, anything else?
