Anyone got a Leap Motion?
http://www.leapmotion.com/Just been given one to play with.
Going to get it installed and was wondering if anyone else is using one and has games/apps/interfaces they would recommend trying first - things that showcase the capabilities best.

send it to me please, I'm too broke to buy one

had one. returned it. it's cool, but pretty useless at the moment. wait a year or so so more developers get into making more useful apps.

microkorg, please provide us with feedback once you have played around with it, thanks.

It does work, it can track hands and fingers.
What it can't do is track exact hand movements, when you close your hand it doesn't see it closed exactly as the fingers are positioned it just sees it as a hand with no fingers.
It also doesn't get 3D point cloud data which was implied from some of the demo videos.

almost bought one this morning but then i saw the reviews. 2.5 stars on amaon.
they say it's wildly inaccurate and inconsistent, mistakes a fist for a finger half the time

We have one in the office. So far I haven't found a single app that works particularly well with it. It's very awkward to use.

i did pre-ordered it, but no shipping to brazil .___.

so far its been crashing my PC after about 5 mins of trying to play some of the games. and most of the apps just fail to launch.
definitely not "accurate" but "fun"

Digging up an old thread as I played around with a leap recently.
Apparently they've have come far in terms of accuracy.
Down to finger bone/joints tracking. There are dedicated 3d apps that saves to most major formats,
apps for 3d graffiti painting if used with a oculus rift,
so on...But I'm still on the fence, wondering if it's worth it or still just an early adapter toy:
- Anyone out there have one?
- Use it in your line of work?
- If so, what kind of apps are you using it with?

I have one sitting behing me,
used it for a bit but the novelty wore off really fast,I barely even look at it anymore, but maybe I should update it and see what's new

ooh used it to try to have some cool DOOH Display control,
but it wasn't as accurate as I wanted, plus if you use it for more than 30 min, you get serious gorilla arm syndrome pain
