Grabbing a few of these for work. Anyone tried it yet? Basically the Viewport in C4D and Maya 2013 Vanilla is tapping out on super high poly models and 6k scenes. Also, anyone ever heard of an External Graphics Cards solution? Any feedback would be rad.

The machines are tapped out beyond Graphics Cards. 12-core.

Basically, if they suck and you have hard kernel crashes... please post feedback. I don't feel like going through approvals to spend this kind of money, then having to return em and look like shit.

I would like to help, but my path so far has not led me the to 3D high poly models in 6K resolution world.
but, 3Dmodels review says this:PROS: Fastest 3D accelerator for modelling, Boost for CUDA-based 3D rendering, Comparatively reasonably priced.
CONS: Lower 64-bit processing than Fermi cards, Not ideal as a scientific CUDA co-processor.
and xbitlabs says, it's better with C4D: http://www.xbitlabs.com/articles…
but not always better with maya2013:

they say: "In fact, the Quadro 5000 is only faster than the new Quadro K5000 at processing 3D models with high-quality textures or shading. Otherwise, the Kepler-based card is 8 to 10% faster."
not sure about what processing means there.
