In the spirit of the location you should at least nick the fonts : )
With a second look, the sans serifs look good, too...'subtly different' is a euphemism I use when I mean I'm too ignorant/tired to tell them apart. It's a form of font discrimination.
If anyone can bang out the actual names of any the fonts with their uberknowledge then I'd be happy to find out, obv. In the mean time, I'll have a crack with Josev's suggestions.
@albums Sorry, should have made myself clear - as Josev suggests, I aim to replicate the poster, so I'm looking for fonts in the title block.
@Josev Thanks for the suggestions - Sycamore for 'Granulated Sugar' looks a very close match, nice find. And the other two I suppose are a little more subtle in their differences, being heavy sans serifs - but good starts nonetheless.
I wonder if they are set in common/well used fonts of the age?...Calling all typeface historians!
For Liverpool you could work with Akzidenz Grotesk Bold Extended and manually extend it a little more. There are probably other heavy black sans that are a better match
I see three typefaces.
