What a perfect finish and what sight with the yellow jersey on the front of the bunch with 1km to go.
Great stuff from Cav to finish the Job.
They should give Wiggins the honour of lighting the Olympic flame.

Breathtaking, simply stunning victory, congrats Wiggo, congrats Cav, well done all at team sky.

Team Sky have controlled it all the way...
Never really been a big contest for the GC this tour. Would've been a lot more interesting in Froome & Wiggo were on different teams.

Nibali must feel like he's in a horror film or a bad dream. He keeps attacking and the Sky boys just slowly but surely catch him up like zombies or Frankensteins monster.
It does show what a high average speed they are riding up those climbs though. It may not be pretty, but you have to ride to your strengths and I'm fairly sure Wiggins is going to be the first British winner now.

Schleck, you fucking cunt.

I like this:
--
Wednesday's stage runs through the so-called "Circle of Death" along four brutal climbs — none more daunting than the 7,000-foot Tourmalet. On Thursday, the last summit finishes atop the 5,300-foot Peyragudes.Wiggins is talking a big game in his bid to become Britain's first Tour de France champion. He says Wednesday's stage "isn't any more difficult than any other stage we've done up to this stage, really."
Wiggins said the Tourmalet was nothing special.
"It goes uphill like all the others, doesn't it?" he said.
- he better stay close to vandenbroeck or wiggins won't be winning anything.digdre

Worst sideburns in the history of mankind...

I can't warm up to Wiggins. Something about his face and demeanor turns me off. Like he doesn't even care to be there, or doesn't appreciate it. Maybe I'm wrong.
- It's his sideburns. He's thumbing his nose at aerodynamics, just like Mark Spitz did with that mustache.mg33
- I've always liked his demeanour. One of the UK TV guys put it best - we get enough media trained athletes boring us these days.Wolfboy
- ...boring us these days.
I agree with that, nice to see someone say what they feel.Wolfboy - That is always gonna polarise opinion.Wolfboy
