You do nice work skt. Just saying.
- 23kon0
Skt, you don't know it but I actually influenced you too by the power of subliminal suggestion in some of my posts. Was well chuffed to find out it worked.
- sktIII0
Nope, it's actually the revised HTML version of this:
http://www.socketstudios.com/arc…
Which as far as I know pre-dates the grave site.
My main influence was actually this: http://markboyce.com/ by http://emilolsson.com/

But you have to admit you took 'strong influence' from these guys.

Nobody is claiming that the full screen scrolling portfolio was invented by me, there are dozens of sites that do it, a lot of them better then mine. But the ones posted here are or were using my actual code, copied an pasted directly. I knew about them because they all left in my analytics.

Wasn't this one first?

a friend of mine here in MX introduced me to this guy who supposedly has the "biggest agency in town" I was curious because all the ads I see around town are either rips, or pics of very famous people with a logo slapped onto it. (ex: Angelina Jolie / ad for Marias enchilada stand) not exactly but you get the idea. So i met this guy, went to his site later noticed literally 95% of its work was rips of something stateside, Im not talking just copying styles, im talking br3tt b@sh stuff, taking someone elses ad photo with his clients logo slapped on/over it and his watermark covering the whole thing. its crazy, and it seems to be the accepted norm here. this guys kid goes to pre-school with my daughter, I see him almost daily when we go to the school, hes so nice, I told my wife I hope he never asks me anything about design, because if im in the wrong i dont know if ill be able to contain myself.

Just going to add overline design to this thread. You know, for google to find. That would be overline design. Although QBN's google rankings don't appear to be what they once were... www.nerval.ch isn't showing up this thread.
Anyway...
(stupid twat left my google analytics in, but sadly didn't link to the js on my server)

I think I'm going to borrow your design for my next portfolio rev, skt. What's one more?
- sktIII0
Well, that was fun.
Unfortunately that was just one of many and the others haven't been stupid enough to leave the JS on my server.

Maybe it's just me...
The Socket site has a nice design to it, and I'm sure it appeals to designers mostly, but it seems like it would be frustrating for prospective clients to use. If this is a purely creative endeavor, great. If the point is to get work, good luck.
