- Never mind the inbound wall of legal fees.Nairn

I have a couple of keyring-sized universal TV remotes - they can be a lot of fun, if you don't mind being a total dick.
Many years ago I hid with my Dad behind some shelves in a spanish supermarket and turned off a wall of TVs that were on sale, much to the bewilderment of the shop assistants, who came and turned them on again one by one as I kept the auto button pressed and other TVs switched off in turn. It was a bit cruel for the hard-working staff, but fuck if my Dad and me weren't in stitiches.
Biggest dickhead thing I did was turn off a football match in a busy pub right before a goal. Same match my friend cried and stormed out of the pub angry at me because I wasn't nearly do devastated about West Ham's loss. I mean, it shouldn't've been a surprise...

- Last gif - how to be a laser cuntbabydick
- Crikey, this thing sounds like a security nightmare.
I want one.Nairn - hehh, the hearth of this is software what manages the TI CC1101 radio controller.
they should team up with tincoon and make a custom faraday bag for it.sted - Best use I can think of is to park in private parking lots. If I was living in a big city I'd buy this just for that.Beeswax
- Here in blighty you'd have to couple that withe editable e-Ink license plates, as most car parks have automatic registration tracking too.Nairn
- ..which to me suggests there's a healthy £1000 package to be sold to some car nerd who wants to have that sort of set up. Highly illegal, obv.Nairn

- Not using a hacker thing but I used to stay in flats above a sports bar and my flatmate was a regular. One sat/sun me, flatmate and a couple of other friends...microkorg
- ..were in the bar. Bar was PACKED full of rugby fans (not locals) to see a big match. Flatmate asked the barman to turn over to the football. He obliged.microkorg
- Rugby fans (not locals and a lot of tourists) start protesting. Barman tells brushes it off. We sitting lol-ing with our pints.microkorg

- Or DIY: https://www.youtube.…i_monk
- That's neat.. but where on earth (!) do the plants get the nutrients they require from?Nairn
- Shit like this is what I meant in my stoned 'artist solutions' blog post y'day - if this works, the idea could be rolled out (!) en masse. Imagine flat panelsNairn
- at slight angles, cladding walls and such. Could totalyl change the green wall idea, making it something practical for building cooling and urban healthNairn
- ok, from your second vid - it's better used for the types of plants that thrive in low nutrient environments like tree climbers and such? Shame. Still cool tho!Nairn
- Yeah this is intended for those low-nutrient tropical type plants and mosses.i_monk
- I've just realised I've totally forgotten that hydroponics is a thing. no reason not to add nutrients to the water. Durr.Nairn
- Next Q: how do you prevent the water stagnating and going off? Or do you just empty and re-fill every couple of weeks?Nairn
- There is a drip tray, so I think it's more likely you'll deal with overflow than stagnant water.i_monk
- You def could make a green wall based on this idea, but I suspect commercial options are lighter (plastic substrate) and watering is easier to control.i_monk

Some of you are familiar with the online shop UgMonk. The guy that runs it just launched this Kickstarter for a productivity / task system yesterday and was aiming for $6k by August 7th.
He raised nearly $90k in less than 24 hours.

- Get a legal pad. Make a running list. Write the date in the left margin, notes in the right margin (or in a different ink). Cross items out when they're done..spadeandheart
- Cross out and rewrite to-do items that need to be amended. Shred pages that are complete, or file in a drawer if needing to archive.spadeandheart
- Jesus fucking Christ. People are fucking dumb. Just get a pen, paper, write shit down, don't be a fucking pussy and do your work. That's all.babydick
- Be dependent on some shit custom refill cards. Because that's freedom.babydick

Thoughts on this?
To my eye, this seems fundamentally useless and gimmicky...
https://www.kickstarter.com/proj…
..but, on the other hand, I could knock something like this and have it online for selling within a week.. but I'm a lazy ass fuck and would never knock-off someone else's design.
That said, I did make myself some credit-card sized dot-matrix forms for doing grafitti in bogs a while back*, so there's scope for expansion on the idea.
What sort of small stencil thing might you like?
*
- If it's a good enough idea and I do it, I'll send you one.Nairn
- fonts...like the ones we used and love in school. I think büro destruct did some with their fonts.uan
- and if it's a *really good idea* we can make them together and go 98/2 on profits, yeah?Nairn
- If it's a good idea, i'd always go fiddyfiddy.
I only play a cunt online.Nairn - ok, ok - sizztyfottyNairn
- fuck! sentytoytyNairn
- enough! enough! I'm begging you.
eytytwoneeNairn - all i want is a cuddle.Nairn
- @uan - fonts are tricky - stencils work best with thin lines, not 'bits to colour in', which is what most 'decent' fonts would require.Nairn
- I mean, it's doable - just not ideal.
I did a set of stencils for a font 18 months ago that could only use like a 0.2mm pencil - loooked good, but.. tricky.Nairn - I had something like the one in the first photo in a christmas cracker once.webazoot
- I"ll take the dot matrix and do make another to look like an LCD clock typeface.imbecile

I love this kind of dystopian decay. I would love to tour the spots in person.
