or just 'employ' a mod (or two) with god-mode to delete and block the obvious spam threads and users. enough people on here regularly who would be willing to do this, no?
- monospaced0
stewdio can fix this shit

The solution is fucking ridiculously simple.
Step 1:
Copy all IP blocks from this text file - http://www.okean.com/chinacidr.t…Step 2:
Open .htaccess in qbn.com's root directory.Step 3:
Precede each line from the file in Step 1 with 'deny from' in .htaccessStep 4:
Save and upload to qbn.com root directory. Hey presto, job done.- < all chinese?dbloc

QBN is LOOONG overdue for a new release - if they don't do something about this fast it will catch up to them.. i assert they're on the motherfucker like Marsellus Wallace and The Wolf... am I correct?

seppuku sounds like it could be a kids board game.
New the Christmas, Seppuku, the family game.

I think it would be awesome if they could tweak it to not display posts by people flagged as spammers. That way they keep trying, nothing works, they go crazy, cry, and finally, seppuku.

I think they should set up a random panel of three of us when someone tries to register, if we don't like the sound of them we blow their computers up.
- mg330
I think they should change the sign up process to include radio buttons for:
Are you a spammer?
O Yes
O NoAnd if they click "Yes" their computer explodes.
- this can be done with jqueryprophetone
- Or their genitals. That would be truer justice.waterhouse

I understand the owners of qbn don't have funds to add some features that might prevent spammers from abusing the site.
Adding captcha when posting a new thread or replying for users who are registered for less than a month could work.

i'm not going to argue with you georges, however the spammer of the day - katherineuk00 - has been flagged in the SRH and will eventually be removed one way or another regardless of replies. in the meantime, humour prevails.
- it's just anoying to not be able to see the legit threads, the spambot is become self awaregeorgesIII
- i know but the spambots reply to their own threads though so it's 6 to one imoprophetone

Just a random thought: Could QBN allow others to delete spammers (users with history) which will speed up the response time?
- or some kind of quarantinegeorgesIII
- maybe a "spam" type button that when clicked by two users deletes it and suspends the users account?

This has been called for before. It won't change a thing. A sense of humor binds this community together. Without it, coping with persistent spamming will be nearly impossible.
