I sat down with a homeless dude at like 4am the other night, smoked a cigarette with him and helped him beg for change. After about 10 minutes he politely asked me to leave because he was never going to get any money with me next to him hahaha. I was cramping his style.

we have a local homeless guy. quite a few times now ive bought a bunch of food for him. I sometimes worry im only doing it for subconscious self gratification.
And i also think, why do i do it when i see him sometimes, but not others? its not like he is more homeless and more hungry when i choose to get him food than any other time.
Which leads me to think that its clearly dependent on my mood weather i buy him food or not, which is kinda pretty fucked up and selfish...

I was in downtown LA once and a bum came up to me and was all "ay mayne, can i get a cigarette??" and I was like "sure" and pulled out my pack of Parliament Lights. He looked at them and was all "naw man, I don't want no Parliaments!"
I told him to fuck right off.

A bum once told me in explicit detail about his bum sex exploits and how his bum friend ate the vagina of a bum chic with a yeast infection and left all the junk in his beard when he went out in public. And another bummed called him out with the clots in his beard. And i mean. I wish i got up from the bench and walked away but it was like watching a trainwreck. Unfortunately for him i had no cash on me and at when the story came to an end , and my legs finally got the strength to walk away, i had nothign to give him for his terrible and disturbing story.

Similar to DaveO, but in san diego.
I finished eating and took took the remaining of my food with me, usually, when at the beach, I run into a homeless person on my way home so I leave him/her the food, otherwise it's going on my fridge.This one time, a guy asked me for change and I said, would you like some food instead?
and I reached out my bag to him.
He took a glance at it and said: "what's in it?"
And I was like, hmmm there's some sushi, white rice and chickenNo Thanks, he replied..
I didn't say anything to him, I mean.. I guess he was not starving and in the mood for something else?
