It's always to the right or left of my view. I can't seem to get it in the middle.

I have 1 or 2 of those things in my right eye. Noticed it for the first time about 4 months ago and like you kind of freaked out. Then I did a little research and realized that it's a common thing and supposedly they come and go over the years. It's annoying when I look at a website with a white background (like qbn) but most of the time I don't notice it.

I've noticed it when I was in junior high or high school but never really thought about it again.

I had one for a while. I'd say about three year in my left eye then kinda just went away and havent seen it since.
Same thing it would happen after looking at lights and it would be this grey/black squiggly line

Unrelated to floaters but related to my eyes, years ago I noticed my hazel eyes had separated pigments into distinct green and brown bands. Is that normal?

instead of relying on qbn'ers for medical advice you should go to a doctor/optometrist

I have one from when a broken guitar string scratched my eyeball, but I rarely notice it.

Do any of you have myodesopsia? I've been noticing floating bits in my right eye when I'm looking at light colors, white, working on a light table or looking into bright light. Looks like a bug is crawling across the wall, but I can move it around with my eye.
I was told people just learn to ignore it, but it's common. I've never heard anyone mention them to me until recently. Just wondering if any of you guys have experienced something similar. I kept thinking there was dust on my computer screen. It's so annoying.
