RoyalSlider – Touch-Enabled jQuery Image Gallery
I tested this on on iPad, iPhone, HTC, and Blackberry works beutifully.

@elahon kind of but mine is set to play automatically with no controls displaying so it just keeps playing. Not sure how to get it to stop.

I'm using the sudoSlider - seems pretty good. One thing I can't work out is how to stop the slider once that last image has been displayed. Anyone tried this?
- The basic demo does just that:

Daithi, I've done something similar before. The trick is to have a 'next page' link, but have it hidden. Use the onAfter callback to hide the 'next slide' link and show the 'next page' link, when you get to the last slide. (In my case, I made both links look exactly the same, so to the user it doesn't look like anything is changed).
Here's the script I used. Obviously change the selectors to suit.
$(function() {
$('#contentArea').cycle({
fx: 'fade',
timeout: 0,
next: '#nextSlide',
prev: '#prevSlide',
cleartype: 1,
after: onAfter
});
});function onAfter(curr,next,opts) {
var caption = (opts.currSlide + 1) + '/' + opts.slideCount;
$('.pageNumbers').html(caption);var index = opts.currSlide;
$('#prevSlide')[index == 0 ? 'hide' : 'show']();
$('#prevPage')[index == 0 ? 'show' : 'hide']();
$('#nextSlide')[index == opts.slideCount - 1 ? 'hide' : 'show']();
$('#nextPage')[index == opts.slideCount - 1 ? 'show' : 'hide']();
}

Useful thread - I usually use Jquery + cycle.js
I'm wondering if anyone can help with one I have to make at the moment — a series of slideshows. Each slideshow would have up to about 5 images on a page, with previous / next buttons. I want it so that after the last image in a slideshow, the 'next' button brings you on to a new page, with the next slideshow.
Any help is appreciated!

i'm using the "awkward-showcase-a-jquery-plugi...
looks like 700px is max width for the images.
i change it here...
$(document).ready(function()
{
$("#showcase").awShowcase(
{
showcase_width: 700, <--- THERE!but that didn't do any thing. that's okay.

This one's quite slick - not sure how good it is if you've got lots of different size images though.
- < cool...haven't seen that one yet.dbloc

The most used solution for this is the one estetic mentioned, the JQuery Cycle Plugin
http://jquery.malsup.com/cycle/
Take a look here and you should be able to find some code that does what you want to do

there are so many to choose from.
heres one i like: http://www.dynamicdrive.com/dyna…
it's ugly as hell out of the box, but you can customize it, and stick more than images in it should you need to.

hm, i found this. might try it. wonder do, how it acts if the images are different sizes.
