I just made one for a small project I had, and the benefit I found was how easy it was to get started. Probably five minutes to sign-up, pick a theme, customize a bit, and you're ready.
But, my project was simple and I am on day two. I would imagine the network could be useful. Generally it reminds me of Twitter without a character limit. so far.
- you think it will catch on as well as twitter ?WeLoveNoise
- I kind of thought it was already huge? I don't know anything though.sseo
- You might be better off just signing up and trying it out, it's so fast it's worth the timesseo
- it's too good to become as big as tweeter or fbmaikel
- too good?sseo

I'm responding here because those notes are getting long.
I don't know if there is a benefit to having a Tumblr blog. While the built-in networking and stuff is nice, I'm pretty sure you can do that in WP or any other CMS. If you need a pretty face for your content, and want the reblogging/liking features of Twitter, then it's good for that. I haven't used it enough to know how much you can play with the code, but if that was a factor in making your decision, I wouldn't pick it over Wordpress or ExpressionEngine.
- thanks, was just seeing whether it was worth using thats all reallyWeLoveNoise
- just decided its not :)WeLoveNoise

i like it, i use mine as a photo diary. most of it is shit, 98% of every post is a repost. so i try and make all my posts original.
- plus using tags is great, as i can bring up all my illy work or signage &cdoesnotexist
