In SF the good shops are kind of scattered. Be sure to check out Acrimony, Union Made, Huf, and G-Star though. Google map em.

For the hollywood sign I'd head north on Wilton. Right before Franklin you are staring right at the sign. Then hang a left on Franklin and then a right on Bronson and drive up into the hills. Get lost for a while, look at some nice houses and every so often you'll find yourself with a great view.
If you're doing a studio tour go to Universal in North Hollwood. Do the backlot thing but also check out the animal actors show. Its free and it is everything a zoo SHOULD be. Orangutans doing a comedy act, etc.
Shopping... There's always Fred Segal and Barney's down in BH.

Yea, about driving LA -SF, we are still discussing that, since I don't have license, and neither does my friend.
Maybe by then we have one and rent a car.
otherwise, plane to SF- a lot of CHP on Highway 5 the last few years. be careful.********
- or take the 101 or 1, it's much, much, nicer. takes a bit longer, but very worth it if you have the timeDoTheMacarena
- they could also have a bird (heli) or plane, checking your speed.akrok

LA the main spots are on Fairfax and the Stussy/Union/UDFTD area nearby on La Brea. There are a lot of places on Melrose but not personally into them. Depends on your style. For streetwear, there is no other area in the US better than the Fairfax/La Brea. Well maybe the lower east side..but..you know what I mean. Every brand within a 5 minute drive.
SF - Huf for shoes and clothes on Sutter, FTC in the Haight, Hayes Valley, and the mission for the real night life. Food, 3000 places to choose from. Would have to narrow that down..but Tsumani sushi is always the bomb..A burrito in the mission is required for any trip the bay area.
- when you say fairfax. do you mean "the groove"????akrok
- prolly means on melrose between fairfax and la breaSteveJobs
- got it. thanks. :-)akrok

In SF you can skip Fisherman's Wharf entirely, it's a tourist trap, but the piers give you a good view of Alcatraz and the bridge (if the bay isn't choked in fog). I'm going back in July and plan to do the bike tour/island hop thing.

I always get a little confused by those bagage rules and fees with airlines.
Most likely i'll be taking a plane from LAX to SFO on 6april,
via United I found a 60$ flight.
now it says that there could be additional fees for the bagage...
Is that for a second bag, or what do they mean?
I'll probably have a carry on bag and a big bag with clothes and stuff,
do I have to pay that fee, or are those 2 included with the flight ticket?
