Cheeky bastards. If i buy the phone, i should be able to do as i please with it. If it was not for the hack, then some of the most useful of apps / added functionality would not be available.

if apple had their way they'd be telling you that you cant overclock your computer, bought by yourselves, with your money, to do with as you please.
They should learn from android, be open minded and give freedom to developers.

Every tech corporation gets patents on whatever they come up with. They encourage their employees to submit ideas to the legal dept. They use patents to countersue their competition in case they get sued over something.
Obviously, they also use them to bully the small competitor.
